I am on a real estate kick with blogging. Its probably because I am moving soon and thinking about buying a house. Today I am going to look at the search visibility of Dallas home builders.

Realtor.org profiled home buyers in 2007 to see their method of researching a new home. Here are the results:

Information Sources Used in Home Search:

Internet -84%

Real estate agent – 84%

Yard sign – 59%

Open house – 48%

Home book/magazine – 31%

Builders – 24%

Television – 9%

Billboard – 7%

Relocation company – 5%

The internet topped the list.

How are Dallas home builders doing with their internet visibility?

Of the top 20 Dallas home builders reported by Dallas Buy and Sell via Residential Strategies, only 7 were in the top 30 results on Google (between the 10 pack and the top 20 natural results) on a search for “Dallas home builders.”

Looks like there might be some room to build!
